Teach high school girls ultrasound in Women in STEM Day!

National Engineers Week is a week dedicated to celebrating how engineers make a difference in the world and to hosting engineering activities for students and educators. This year, National Engineers Week is February 17-23, 2019. The chapter of Society of Women Engineers (SWE) at Washington University in St. Louis participates in this week by annually hosting Women in STEM Day.

A total of 120 high school girls rotated through lab demonstrations with hands-on experiments presented by WashU faculty. Dr. Chen with her graduate student Lifei Zhu provided students the opportunity to perform ultrasound imaging using handheld ultrasound probes.
