Postdoc/Staff Scientist at Washington University in St. Louis

Position Summary:  A Postdoc or Staff Scientist position is available in the Chen Ultrasound Laboratory (https://chenultrasoundlab.wustl.edu/) at Washington University in St. Louis (WashU). Our lab is located at the Department of Radiation Oncology at WashU School of Medicine. The mission of our lab is to develop innovative ultrasound techniques for understanding brain function and managing brain diseases. Current projects in the lab include: (1) Develop noninvasive neuromodulation techniques; (2) Develop techniques for brain drug delivery for the treatment of brain cancer (e.g., glioblastoma and diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma); (3) Develop ultrasound techniques for brain cancer diagnosis through blood-based liquid biopsies (e.g., circulating DNA and RNA detection). The candidate is expected to have the expertise in neuroscience, cancer biology, or molecular biology to work with engineers in our team on developing the above techniques. Knowledge in medical ultrasound is not required.

Required Qualifications: Motivated and enthusiastic individuals with a Ph.D. in neuroscience, molecular biology, genetics, cancer biology, or other closely related areas are welcome to apply. The candidate should have extensive experience in common molecular and cell biology techniques. Research experience in ultrasound and engineering is not required.
